Not the best artist/writer for this but…
Not sure what to call it but it is a beast that will appear in the corner of your eyes and disguise itself into something familiar to you as a way to grab attention.
Once spotted it will often disappear causing some to go searching for it. If found and followed things starts getting weird, colors will appear everywhere hypnotizing you, forcing you to follow it.
If captured as such, it will then lead you to unfamiliar areas and/or to your death, where it leads is random and usually lead to dangerous areas in forests or deserts before disappearing entirely.
Most who have followed it died within the woods and deserts that it leads to, the ones who did survive have come to tell the tale of this horrible creature.
now most people don’t know who he is, but know his work. He is basically the animator who perfected the cartoon movements in animation.

he’s also done lots more in cartoon animation but if I’d drag the post if i type any more of his work
THIS STUFF Comes straight out of a book call “The Animators Survival Kit” and I HIGHLY recommend it for anyone looking to take a crash course into animation.
