Master roy, can you show us how you're making a character from the skull construction to the sketch to finish with the lineart ? Your beloved anon student.

I don’t usually have the time for this kind of thing, but i’ll make it.
No outline though. That’s boring tits.

Growing up as an artist, I’ve been taught the traditional ways of drawing from going to general art classes, “How to” books and whatever..But it’s pretty simple..

Since Roy is..pretty fuakkin simple to draw overall, i’ll sketch someone else..someone with a more anthropomorphic deal..

Iunno—Hype. Let’s draw Hype. She has enough base characteristics that are generalized enough in my drawings—why not.

I ALWAYS start on the head-down—mainly with a standing model.
Also head circles.

It’s important to know where the eyes, nose and such goes before making the entire head structure. I know where it goes without the guide because i’ve drawn her in a 3/4th pose so often—but for the sake of knowing shet, i’ll mark it here.

Hype has a pretty..long head because of her awesome forehead, so i’ll just..draw out the rest of the head too.

So now that we have an idea where her eyes and nose and whatever in the future’ll come up, we can make that too..for now.

She has hair too..and her fuakkin forehead eternally shines for some reason. We can also get rid of the circle-deal. It’s serrrved its purpose.
The eyes shouldn’t go past that red-lining? because like..that’s not—that’s not where it goes. You know, -other- things go there. Like not-eyes.

We should make her eyes too—which is pretty fundamental! There are many styles of eyes everyone has personalized..but one thing just has to be there unless your character has beady pikachu eyes of death or whatever else. And that’s the iris and pupil. Since Hype isn’t really an approachable kind of character in terms of personality, she’s got slight angry eyes that hide things like..stuff of dreams because she’s still a good guy.

It looks nice now—it’s goin’ somewhere. You can tell because it looks nice.

I guess it takes more than eyes to decipher an expression*
Also, I GUESS we can kill the red-guide. No real use after that. At least for me.
*This is just based on general consensus

Alright, cool. She prolly hates someone. You can tell because she’s frowning. It doesn’t mean she’s sad—the fuak told you that. She just hates someone.
We can add some other stuff too
Like her hair and whatever. That’s simple on its own. Make some hair and whatever. Be sure to connect that shet, or it’ll look like old washed-up weave..or a glued-on wig.
People do that!

Now we’ll DEFINE THE EYES a bit more!
There’s always room for expression! Especially for those that are, well, EXPRESSIVE! Remember, she still doesn’t like someone..Knowing Hype, it’s prolly a lot.

Hype’s original design involved lipstick and a beauty-mark to hold up that “I’m a sexiful nurse” deal..but that was before I realized looks is the last thing she’d worry about on account of her wanting to be a full fledged robutt-thing.

Now we gotta draw out her neck.
Initially, the neck decides where the upper-body begins!
Chest and whatnot..but overall, it depends on the head’s situation.
It’s nice to plan on how the body’s going to turn out before drawing the head..so i know where to put the neck. Which is—

Right here. We’ve discussed that she is standing at a 3/4th angle as is the head..but that doesn’t mean that if one is in 3/4th,  the other is as well! They can differ—honest!

Now comes the easier part IMO—the body! To be specific, the Upper-body! Starting with the chest..
The chest will define the back and shoulders—how broad and whatever.
If the chest is narrow, you’re likely to have a frail frame overall..if it is wide, join the football team, Iunno!
BUT THAT DOESN’T MEAN THAT YOU CAN’T HAVE A FRAIL FOOTBALL PLAYER.

Wait, that’s not..what I was going for…uuhb—

So now this exists. I should do a thing.

This red-line shows where the chest begins from the collar bone to the stomach line..Which i’ll draw in a second.
The Collar bone exists because shy shouldn’t it—Iunno.
It’s there right beneath the neck where it should be.

Anyway, now that we have a presentable bust..now we have an idea where the shoulders go! Which isn’t cool because we’re into mutilated torso girls.

So you basically have this now.
As you can see, the collar bone has a lot to do with shoulder placement too. You can see it match lines with the circles—where the shoulders go! It should be said though to be careful. If you don’t have common understanding of GEOMETRY AND DEPTH..Your shoulders would look all wonky. Thank the shapes. Although it’s simple, i should also note! The left (Hype’s right) shoulder—circle -should- be smaller. because you know..3/4th does things like that to DEPTH. ‘member?

Let’s leave the shoulders alone for a bit and move downward, ‘cuz das where we wanna be.

Hype personally isn’t very thin or wide in the belly region. She sits right in the middle. She doesn’t really care for staying fit despite telling her clients to eat healthy and stay out of metal compressors.
She’s also very curvy and has a bit of height to her, just below Regen.

I also marked where her crotch would be! I should..prolly do that in red. Or not—whatever. Roll with me, c’mon.

That crotch spot is pretty important though. It decided from this point on how the legs are going to be positioned—which I have a deal for—hold on..

The crotch evens out the legs. And since 3/4th exists here, it influences the shape of the right (her left) leg that is closer to us! It seems larger because it is closer..and you can see that how angled they are (depicted by the blue line and arrow) that her lower-body is tilted slightly to our left..it’ll be hard to see without the guides, but it might not now that they are pointed out..WHATEVER!

By the shape of her hips  past the red lines, it tells that her legs are going to be crossed. WE DON’T WANT THAT, because she’s apparently so deep in “I don’t like someone a lot” that her legs..don’t cross. Body language—btw shows a lot of expression as well! -just- as much expression as the face.

TEST: Go ahead! I dare you to find a random pic on the net (pr0n or not) and slooowly scroll up from the bottom and see if you can’t guess the personality of the character! IT’S INSANE WHAT BODY LANGUAGHKJSBLKASBL!

Spreading her legs a bit—as you may or may not have noticed..effected how her hips are placed. They are farther from each other..WHICH MAKES SENSE because when things connected to stuff that are from each other that aren’t connected..MOVE FARTHER FROM EACH OTHER. I prolly could have worded that better.

Lines that are parallel  to each other cannot cross..only get closer and farther form each other. her legs and hips can only do just that.
I mean, they can cross, but..that’s not the case since the pose is..not calling for tha—MOVING ON!

I drew G-nubs.
These G-nubs are connected to her legs, of course! End of discussion. I lied. Discussion continued—The G-nubs indicate where the knee begins and where the foreleg goes “ok! hand me the flag!” Which i’ll draw a little later on.

The area I circled in bluh is commonly mistook as a vag because “OH! IT’S AT THE CROTCH AND YES! I am ok and I win.”
Nah. It’s actually a BUTT CHEEK. I..can’t really say too much about it without explaining my process of drawin’ butts..which on its own is fundamental. ._ .;
Perhaps another time! just know that if someone has a big enough butt (or depending on the angle) you can see the butt from the front.
Word mama.

I made a buncha more G-nubs..
Naturally your arm starts at the shoulder and ends at the elbow before going into your forearm. BUT YOU KNEW THAT!
The ELBOW though would rest RIGHT AT YOUR WAIST (Indicated in the faded poiple)! It’s a simple way to remember not to make your arms all..terrifyingly long.

the blue G-nubs is where i’m going to draw her forearms. You should know she has robo-arm thingies, so anything past the initial description is fundamental.

As you should see, the blue circles are a bit larger than the red shoulder circles. Because DEPTH. Her arms are forward, almost meeting each other. this is gonna be essential for the pose I have in mind.
Let’s do more leg stuff.

WHAM! Forelegs an’ pointy ticky-tack feet! Again, Hype has robo..parts..so anything past the initial whatever is characteristics.

I didn’t kill the G-nubs for the knee because knees are important! the indicators will be killed later..ANYWAY! there’s a calf here before your ankle which I indicated in faded poiple.

The foreleg is a little longer than your leg before the knee. Or if not, the same size excluding your ticky-tack feet.
See—I made the mistake of not paying attention to the existing 3/4th, making me draw the calfs different from each other. The left one (her right) is slightly longer than the one on the right because of that.

You should remember this when using 3/4th view:

Especially on a flat surface.
I’ll fix it in the next post—look for it.
GONNA DO FEET NOW AND ADD SUM ARMZ.

WAPAM! Wicked-ass plasma arm and ticky-tack hands! A-And normal feet!
Her legs Shouldn’t be perfectly aligned with each other because her right leg is not liking the left leg’s decision of staying there..So it decides to move away and take the kids because they’re on different planes.(indicated by poiple “oval”)
The reason this does NOT follow the 3/4th rule of rotation is because it is an appendage and moves with the main body as such as being parallel.

Also, a lot of her has been covered by the..gun arm. *snk
BUT IT’S OK! just ease anything that’s in the way of the thing and dere you go—don’t whine you piece of shet~

The forearm— just like the foreleg..is either a little longer or the same size depending on how you look at it.

We’re just about done here too.
.

Here, I added the initial hand’s position and some other small things.
Notice I hadn’t killed that line indicating the collar bone and the stomach lining (in red this time)! I’m keeping it for when I get to draw Hype’s happy lumps, which is in a bit! I drew in her arm’s socket to remind you that she doesn’t want whatever you’re sellin’.
There’s no need to draw vag either because clothes are gonna exist too!

Ohokay then! This is basically everything.
Just need to add her clothes then her ears.
I’m doing those last because her ears start from the very top of her head down the back, so they’re behind like..EVERYTHING.

OKAY! There’s that!
That didn’t take as long as I thought it would…hm.
WELP! Hope this was helpful or whatever.

A lot of the info I gave is just what i’ve been taught from either classes, others..or books.

So yeh..I dunno how to end this.
So i’m just gonn
